DECEMBER 2023 NEWSLETTER

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

Dear Sierra View Residents,

Get ready to jingle all the way as we dive into a December packed with joyous events and heartwarming moments. Here's a sneak peek into what's coming up:

Christmas Gift Fair at Sierra View

Unwrap the joy of giving and receiving at our Christmas Gift Fair on December 15th in our Activities Room at 2pm. Explore a wonderland of unique and thoughtful gifts crafted with love. From handmade treasures to delightful surprises, it's your one-stop-shop for spreading holiday happiness.

InConcert Sierra Christmas Carolers

Join us Tuesday December 19th at 5pm for a magical performance filled with melodious tunes and festive cheer! Our talented carolers are tuning up to bring the spirit of the season to life. It's not just a concert; it's a symphony of smiles waiting for you.

Sierra View Resident’s Christmas Feast

Elevate your Christmas with a special lunch that promises not just delicious dishes but also a sprinkle of love and warmth. Let's gather around the table to create memories and savor the flavors of the season.

And now, let's sprinkle some laughter into the mix with some jokes tailored for our wonderful senior audience:

Joke Time:

Why did the cookie go to the doctor?

Because it was feeling crumbly!

Fun Fact:

Did you know that the tradition of hanging stockings by the fireplace comes from a legend about St. Nicholas putting gold coins into stockings that were drying by the fire? That's one way to get your stocking stuffed!

Fun Fact:

In Iceland, there's a tradition of exchanging books on Christmas Eve and spending the night reading. It's called Jolabokaflod, meaning "Christmas Book Flood." Time to cozy up with a good book and a cup of cocoa! If you would like to sign up for a book exchange with your favorite people at Sierra View, Bridget will add your name to a hat to be drawn by another book lover in the community!

We hope these events and jokes bring an extra twinkle to your December. Let's make this holiday season one for the books – full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.

Warm wishes,

Sierra View Team
